Kittens ~ Oh my!

Seems I have turned into a kitten rescue over the last year. I dont get many in as I just take them from the farm when they get sick or abandoned etc.

My newest charge I got Sunday night with a severe URI, dehydration, the works. HE as I found out today is in a poor state. I haven't named him yet, but so far hes doing rather well on meds with the usual TLC. I expect him to make a full recovery. I only had to sub q fluids 1x the rest was force feeding, he is now eating on his own!!

My first charge of the year Chloe was abandoned at 4wks by her mother with a URI and still not eating/defecating on her own. She was my first kitten charge so I had to learn all the fun stuff like sub q, stimulation (making them go poo/pee) force feeding, formulas the works! She is now 8 weeks and evil.


Please note that I am NOT a 'real' rescue I am still learning. I am a vet tech student with resources many people do not have, be careful when taking in rescues the financial aspect is astronomical! However, I will answer any and all questions but be aware you have a 50/50 chance of being fwded onto various rescues I am in contact with for better/full answers.

Please do NOT take any animal you see home with you, baby bunny's oftentimes are left alone, if you go away it will find its way back to its mother! DO NOT TAKE FAWNS you see laying the the grass! MOM WILL COME BACK! Please do your part in animals safety and leave wild animals wild!!

I adopt the kittens I take in out (in less I am stupid enough to keep them) its just less risk in the barn since they are all wild. I am glad the colony accepts everyone The barn cats at my mums would sooner rip a humans face off. They are all a bit wonky.

I am a sissy, im afraid of everything but pitbulls its hilarious my sugar glider crabs and i jump 10 feet in the air my my adrenilan goes pumping. lol im pathedic. even kittens kinda scare the crap out of me, those claws hurt!

yeah mites suck. i gave him more wormer and some mite meds so that should be ok. still on the antibiotics. have to call around to see what i can get for the feline leuk testing. i cant spend 50 bucks per cat and i have 2 kittens from the same barn that need it done. gug.

Awww, that poor sweet baby! When I had my first apartment I had 5 cats, people told me I was a crazy cat lady..lol I have a thing for cats though, they are amazing little creatures!

I know, trying to figure some stuff out. Nameless is looking much better as the days progress.
